Yin Yang Ping He : Gathering Qi with Single Hand To Balance Yin and Yang

Physical: Stand in Wuji posture and move the weight to the left foot, as you do pick up the right heal and allow the right foot to pivot on the toes as we turn the waist to the right. As the waist turns to the right move the right hand in a gathering motion toward the upper Dan Tian. One the hand has reached this point turn the waist back to the left and allow the right hand to drop along the centerline of the body back to its original position. As the hand drops and the waist moves back to center the right foot pivots back to its original position.

The movement is then repeated on the left side as the weight moves to the right and the waist turns left, with this action the left heal picks up and we pivot on the toes. Again at the same time the left hand raises in a gathering motion towards to the upper Dan Tian, and drops in coordination with the waist and left foot returning to their original position.

Repeat at both the middle and lower Dan Tian.

Energetic: Think of this as a balancing movement. In each Dan Tian the energies of yin and yang are perfectly balanced. It may help to visualise a yin yang symbol in each Dan Tian.

Breathing: As the hands move up breath in, as the hands move down breath out.
