Kai He Dan Tian : Open And Closing In The Three Dan Tian
Physical: Stand in the Wuji position and as in the last movement allow the hands to raise up and hold a ball in front of the upper Dan Tian. As we breath in allow the ball between the hands to expand outward, as we exhale allow the ball to deflate and move back to its original position.
Repeat this movement at the middle and lower Dan Tian.
Energetic: In this move we will use the breath to help feel the Qi and co-ordinate the movement. As we breath in see if you can feel the ball pushing the hands outward, and conversely when we exhale feel the ball get smaller and allow the hands to follow. To help with this remember to relax and lower the shoulders, this will help the whole arm to relax and connect the arm with the body, allowing the Qi to flow more smoothly and increase our sensitivity to feeling it.
As in the earlier movements remember the external is only mirroring the internal. When we breath in expand the ball inside the head (Upper Dantian), when exhaling allow it to find its original position. When expanding feel its expansiveness, allow it to expand as far as it wishes, even to the ends of the universe.
Breathing: breath in as the ball expands and out as it deflates.
